If y'all don't know by now we are in the planning stages of having our 45th Class Reunion in Fernandina Beach, Florida. For those of you who failed math this means anyone who went to Jean Ribault HS in 1962. We don't care if you graduated----JUST BE THERE!

JFK was President, a first class stamp cost 4 cents, the Yankees defeated the San Francisco Giants in the World Series, West Side Story won the Oscar for Best Picture, Moon River was the Record of the Year, Maria Fletcher was selected as Miss America, Lt. Col. John Glenn was the first American to orbit the Earth, Marilyn Monroe, William Faulkner and Ernie Kovacs died, Johnny Carson took over the Tonight Show and WE GRADUATED FROM JEAN RIBAULT HIGH SCHOOL!
Dear Classmate:
Forty-five years this coming June. Can it possibly be that long ago? Yes, and sometimes we probably feel every day of it. But not today. Today we want you to read this and remember how great it is to have graduated from Ribault High School. Remember the person you sat next to in Mr. Pruitt’s PAD class or Mrs. Cheney and Ms Lopez’s English class. Girls remember how you hated those awful gym suit bloomers. Trying to get to class down those open halls when it was raining. Remember the dances in the cafeteria, having to have the Miss Ribault contest at Jackson because we did not have an auditorium. How pretty and talented the contestants were as they competed and the smile on Joy Graham’s face when she won. The football games, our basketball team. Coach Singer teaching more baseball in his class than Geography. Square dance lessons on the volley ball courts with all that sand.
Remember all of the good times and the bad and make an honest decision right now. Is there one person from those years you would like to see again? One person you would love to sit down and have a conversation with. One person that you have thought about over the years and smiled at the memory of something you shared.
If you can answer yes to any of these questions you need to plan right now to attend our reunion in May. Then call, email or write that person and ask them to come too. In addition, if you really can’t think of one person from our class that you would like to see again, call Wallace Hill, he wants to see YOU.
